It’s been a while! I hope you are all doing very well and feeling good in your bodies.
Streaming classes online was great at the beginning of the pandemic (feels so long ago!), but it became clear that it was not the best way to offer support to the community. The classes that I did stream will remain on YouTube, free, for you to use at any time! For now, I don’t plan to return to streaming. Instead, I have something new to offer and there are three spots available.
I have three spots open for a 10-week, totally personalized private instruction experience this fall/winter.
Here are the details:
Once a week, starting the week of 10/26 and ending the week of 12/28, we will meet 1:1 virtually (via video call) for a 75-minute session.
Sessions will be customized to your needs, goals, and unique body. Have you ever been in a group class, or taken a streamed class, and felt like the instruction was totally unsuited to your body? That happens a lot. It will not happen during 1:1 sessions, because the entire program will be made to fit your needs.
Before the 10-week series begins, we’ll have an additional call to discuss your unique circumstances. You will tell me a little bit about your body, what your experiences with yoga (or other activities) has been in the past, and where you want to go from here. I will use this information to give you a dedicated time and space to move and breathe freely and safely in a way that feels comfortable and supportive to you over the next 10 weeks.
Some things we might do in sessions, given your interest and needs, would be: beginner-friendly yoga, gentle yoga, restorative yoga, targeted functional movements to address injuries and imbalances (including age-related concerns about balance, gait, strength, and mobility), safe breath practices, and meditations or visualizations.
This program is suitable for total beginners, those with more experience, injured people, pregnant people, and people in postpartum bodies (including people looking to repair diastasis recti). Adults of any age are welcome. If you’re looking to feel good in your body and give your brain some space to relax, this is the right place for you.
This program is probably not suited to you if you’re looking for an advanced, extremely rigorous practice. While the movement practice we coordinate together may be rigorous enough for you to break a sweat (if that’s what you want), we won’t be working on incredibly advanced yoga postures during these sessions or moving through extremely complicated or dense yoga flows.
In addition to the consult call and the 10 weekly sessions, you’ll have regular email and text access to address any questions or concerns that come up during the week.
The program is priced at three tiers. You choose your own tier, no questions asked. Payment plans are available.
Standard exchange: $500
For those who are not worried about paying bills and want to try private yoga instruction at a more affordable rate than it’s usually offered.
Accessibility rate: $300
For those who are experiencing new or sustained financial hardship and would not normally be able to afford private yoga instruction or this program.
Supporter opportunity: $700
For those who are not struggling at all financially and want to support me in making the standard exchange and accessibility rate available.
